About you:
The Retail Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the candy shop, ensuring exceptional customer service, achieving sales targets, managing staff, maintaining inventory levels, and creating a fun and welcoming shopping environment. The Store Manager will lead the team to maximize sales while ensuring operational excellence and brand standards are consistently maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
Store Operations:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the candy shop.
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
- Monitor store opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations.
Sales & Customer Service:
- Drive store sales and achieve monthly revenue targets.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and create a positive shopping experience.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
- Implement promotional activities and seasonal campaigns to increase sales.
Team Management:
- Recruit, train, coach, and supervise store employees.
- Prepare staff schedules and manage attendance.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback.
- Motivate team members to achieve sales and service goals.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor stock levels and ensure product availability.
- Coordinate inventory counts and stock replenishment.
- Minimize product loss, damage, and shrinkage.
- Manage ordering and receiving of candy, chocolates, and related merchandise.
Merchandising:
- Ensure attractive product displays and merchandising standards.
- Execute seasonal and promotional displays.
- Maintain product pricing accuracy and proper labeling.
Financial Management:
- Manage daily cash handling and reconciliation procedures.
- Prepare sales reports and analyze store performance.
- Control expenses and support profitability goals.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement improvement plans.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3–5 years of retail management experience.
- Experience in food, confectionery, or specialty retail is an advantage.
- Proficiency in POS systems and basic computer applications.
